Wiko expands its range of smartphones with the View 4 and 4 Lite
since February 20, the Wiko View smartphone family has grown. Called View 4 and 4 Lite, these newcomers are betting on autonomy and ease of use.
Digi news:Under the canopy of a large Parisian hotel, Wiko presented its new flagship models for this beginning of 2020. Soberly baptized View 4 and View 4 Lite, they replace the 3 series. From the front, smartphones do not really stand out from their predecessors . The devices have the same 6.52-inch IPS LCD panel (HD + definition), surmounted by a teardrop-shaped notch concealing the sensor intended for selfies (8 megapixels for the View 4 and only 5 MP for the 4 Lite).

Digi news:Thus, the View 4, available in “Cosmic Blue”, “Cosmic Gold” and “Cosmic Green” versions, sports a plastic chassis simulating the appearance of glass, when the 4 Lite remains on a mat plastic and will be offered in versions “Deep Blue”, “Deep Gold” and “Deep Green”.
The terminals benefit from the same triple photo module, with a main 13-megapixel sensor with classic wide-angle optics, another 5 Mpx and its ultra-wide-angle lens, and a last 2 Mpx used to improve the capture. portrait. At first glance, the photos captured with the main module seem to be of good quality, even if there is a strong accentuation of the contrasts. Our opinion on the UGA modules is more mixed, the sharpness being generally less good and the image emerging more noisy.
In the bowels of mobiles there is an 8-core SoC MediaTek Helio A25, clocked at 1.8 GHz. In the View 4, it is associated with 3 GB of RAM, against only 2 GB for the View 4 Lite. While Wiko announces that it has paid particular attention to the power of its devices, our first grip did not convince us, especially with the View 4 Lite. The latter had more difficulty with the opening and closing of applications and, above all, when switching from one to the other. The View 4 is equipped with 64 GB of storage space, when the 4 Lite offers only 32. In both cases, it is possible to extend this capacity using a microSD card. Finally, the phones have a MicroUSB port and a 3.5 mm mini-jack.
In terms of autonomy, Wiko claims to have made great efforts to obtain certification from SmartViser. Thus, the battery of the View 4, with a capacity of 5000 mAh, is supposed to last three days. Against two days for the View 4 Lite and its 4000 mAh battery. We will not fail to verify these claims during our laboratory tests.
Digi news:Note that smartphones do not have a fingerprint sensor, biometric security is only ensured by a facial recognition system. They also have a button that launches Google Assistant, a feature that can come in handy. Unfortunately, you cannot reprogram this key. The Wiko View 4 will be available in March for € 169 and the View 4 Lite next April for € 129. A “+” version is also planned, but not before this summer. On the menu: a USB-C port, a revised photo component and a price that should not exceed € 199.

Finally, Wiko took advantage of this conference to announce two new wireless headphones. The Wishake Pocket, with an autonomy of 4 h, and the Wishake Extra, with an endurance of 5 h. Without forgetting the portable speaker Wishake Vibes, capable of dividing into two parts to offer stereo sound. All these products, the prices of which have not been communicated, should be launched next spring.
